Country Club

Garden City Country Club is a private club designed by Walter Travis in 1916. It is in Nassau County, Long Island. We have completed the construction of a new maintenance facility and are in the early phases of implementing a master plan by Keith Foster to include the construction of bunkers, tees, tree removal and are currently finishing the installation of our new irrigation system. Garden City CC is a very active club that will challenge and prepare the right individual for a career in the golf course industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The assistant will work directly with the other assistant in all facets of golf course maintenance. Duties will include but are not limited to chemical / fertilizer applications, budgeting / planning, spraying, irrigation programming, daily watering, topdressing, construction, and crew leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS: 2-4 year degree in turf or related field. Must have or be able to obtain NYS pesticide license. Prior experience as an assistant or assistant-in-training. Will train a recent college graduate as well.
